Glass reinforced plastic
We use glass reinforced plastic (GRP) for the panels of our composite doors. The plastic is a highly versatile material that is flexible, lightweight but incredibly strong. Glass reinforced plastic is highly resistant to corrosion, ultraviolet light, excessive temperatures, salt air and acidic chemicals. It is also able to withstand any wear and tear, pressure or damage. This means that the GRP is long lasting and will remain in good condition for years to come.
Polyurethane foam core
Our composite doors feature a polyurethane foam core that offers fantastic heat and sound insulation. The polyurethane foam helps to create a strong, hardwearing and durable door that is also energy efficient. The foam core allows the door to have a significantly better ‘U’ Value (thermal insulation value) compared to traditional timber or UPVC. The extremely high thermal properties of the foam ensure your home is warmer and will help to reduce your energy bills.
Security
Our composite doors offer the highest level of security, with increased resistance to forced entry. The super-strong structural frame combined with glass-reinforced plastic, provides substantial protection against intruders. They feature standard Yale Lockmaster 2 hook, deadbolt and latch, making it difficult for potential intruders to lever the door open. You can also upgrade to the Ingenious Duplex 4 hook, hook-bolt and latch.
Ready to fit
Our composite doors will reach you with all your chosen options such as handle style, letter box and spy hole already fitted. The composite door is already hinged on to its frame, so all you need to do is attach the external cill (if ordered) and fit the door into the empty aperture, so it is secure and level.
Low aluminium threshold
The aluminium threshold helps stop rain water and wind from seeping in at the bottom of your door. The low threshold we supply is there to accommodate someone elderly or those who find it hard to walk. Not only that, aluminium provides a strong, sturdy threshold that will stand up to all those bumps, scrapes and scuffs they get throughout its lifetime.
